8. Re: Where is better to get a vietnam visa in Cambodia ?
First of all, let me thank you all for your response. my bad, should have been browsing more carefully, was in a rush recently, not enough time to do online research, my apologies.
couple of more questions-advice greatly appreciated concerning my trip plan.
1. start in siem reap, plan 4-5 full days there, then bus down to PP, I don't know if 2 full days will be enough, basically I will wait get my Viet visa done there. Ian #2 suggested an agent, but anyone can give me some idea roughly how much a 30-day single entry visa will cost, all inclusive, for an agent to do it for you, without being charged "rush" fees, will 1-2 days be enough?
2. except beach, anything interesting down @ sihanoukville. if get down to Sihanoukville, do you have to go back to PP to land cross to viet? given my time constraint, i most likely have to skip sihanoukville.
3. I have not worked out the details yet. but I would like to visit the following places from bottom up along viet costal lines, by bus or train, I don't know if 15 days is too tight or I have to stretch it to 20 days?
starting from HCMC > dalat > Nha Trang > hoi an > da nang > hue > hanoi > halong bay / sapa.
I know Hanoi is not the most interesting place, just transit through, probably 1 day there. but halong bay and sapa are in opposite directions. seems halong bay are more accessible while the transportation into sapa is more time consuming. I'm not sure if I have time for both, even I stretch to 20 days.
